Not really The Departed

Mark Wahlberg has been talking to MTV News (http://www.mtv.com/) and reveals that much like "Infernal Affairs" had a prequel and sequel, so might "The Departed," with Martin Scorsese already supposedly planning one or more films.

"We may do another one, because it's based on a Hong Kong film ['Infernal Affairs'], and there is a trilogy. So we may do a sequel with a new cast, and a prequel and bring back the rest of the guys," the actor tells the site.

Now, without spoiling the movie, there would most likely have to be a completely different cast for the sequel part of it. Wahlberg reveals that Scorsese has been talking to his old friend Robert De Niro (who was going to play the role Martin Sheen played in "The Departed" but couldn't do it due to scheduling conflicts with "The Good Shepard").

It's hard to say whether there's any concrete plans for this, as Scorsese has never done a sequel to any of his movies and a "Departed 2" and "3" in our minds would just be a cheap way to get another buck. Still, stay tuned for more information if it becomes available.

Hi Maddox,

u ada ym?

terima kasih sebab sudi link Budiey.com...

No sequel please. I thought The Departed was already The Infernal Affairs Trilogy rolled into one?

If The Godfather, Pusher, and Gerak Khas The Movie can have sequels, why can't The Departed?

I agree with Nazim on this. But mentioning Gerak Khas? Fuck man!
