Synopsis: This movie started during the World War 2 in England, where 4 orphan siblings (Edmund, Lucy, Susan, Peter) telah dibawa untuk penjagaan seorang Professor. They were sent to the professor's home and being kids. Dengan gatal tangan masing-masing, they went on explore the house. While they were playing hide and seek, the little one, Lucy discovered a wardrobe. She then discovered the Magical World of Narnia and met Mr. Tumnus. It was the start for the 4 siblings adventure.

There, they met a lot of freaky and weird looking creature. From hideous giants, dwarf, Half-man half-animal Latin god to talking beaver and horses. Empat-empat beradik ni kononnya are the one who is going to fulfill the premonition that is going to end the White Witch / Jadis's and her entourages cruelty and Narnia's dark time.

However, the existence of these orphans provoked the White Witch / Jadis's anger. Thus, war began to ramble between the good and the bad. The good being Aslan and the bad is Jadis . The war was to determine who is going to dominate the Narnia Empire and claim the throne of Cair Peruval.

The White Witch / Jadis, a cold witch living in an icy castle has the intention of eliminating the 4 kids and takes over Narnia. Dia ni perasan macam bagus la.. Hew best weapoen what kinda like a stick that can turn all being to stone. Itu yang paling kewl about that bloody witch. And her minion, semua muka quite freaky lah!!! But Org and Urukhai is more freakier than them.

Aslan(Turkish word which means LION), the lion king a.k.a. the rightful throne owner of Narnia believed these kids and knew that these kids were sent as the premonition told. Aslan believed that the human kind should and are the only one who can lead the kingdom of Narnia. Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy are the Captain in command in the heart-throbbing war.

Comment gua:

I am a bit disappointed with the movie actually. I went in the cinema with a high expectation. Maybe my expectation was too high. What I had in mind was The Lord of The Rings. I mean C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkein were good friends. Narnia and The Lord of The Rings were written at the same area back then. So, the idea I got was maybe it was the same like. But then, I was wrong. L. Despite being said that it is the best movie in 2005, I find it hard to agree. Sorry Narnia fans. Tapi salah gua jugak. The plot and the theme memang totally differs lah.

What I like about the movie? The icy look of the White Witch. Tilda Swinston pandai buat that look yang kononnya macam nak menakutkan bebudak lah. (Teringat aku kat Anjelica Hutson in Ever After). Tapi her dress macam nak gi Academy Awards kat Kodak Theatre lah. Heheheh!!! Macam drag queen pun ada. I heard that her dress was custion made from a special cloth. Jadi nampak macam an optical illusion of a flowing water. Hmm..!!! Yelah.. Gua tak nampak beza pun.

Whatever it is, for me, The Chronicles of Narnia ni sesuai for kids and teens, kot. Those who want to take their family for an outing to catch a movie. I would recommend it.

U.K. versus U.S.

Hi again…I feel so bored actually. Not so much work to do and I have so many free times with me. Hmmm… Since I have so much time at hand, maybe today I am going to post something of my interest. Music… Hehehe… enjoy reading my piece of crap!!!

U.K. vs. U.S.

Back then; the U.S. was involved in a Cold War with the Soviet Union. But now, Dua-dua negara penjajah ni tengah in the middle of another type of war. Both are nonetheless powerful dalam hal ni beb. Kuasa masing-masing tak kurang hebatnya. Kiranya macam masing-masing nak test power lah tu!!! But the thing is, can the U.S. detain the march of the U.K. music industry yang sekarang ni seems like is going to attack on the Land of Dreams tu??? Hmmm… How about if wee look back a bit of history of this war!!!

Round 1. Post-war era (1950’s)

The music industry in U.K. has seen some ups and downs since the 50’s. Sebelum tu, Chuck Berry and Bill Haley & His Comets were considered the king. Dey’all ni kiranya macam conquered the music scene that time. At the same time, everything is all about Elvis Presley and The Beach Boys until The Beatles came out from their hidings and hibernation. This gave way for other bands that are ready in-line to attack! Go! Go! Power Rangers! The Beatles are considered the forefront man lah in this war. From 1958 to 1969, Rock N Roll moved from Uncle Sam’s ground to Big Ben’s land. Hasta Pronto America! Hola London! And history stated!!!!!

Round 1: U.K. – 0 U.S. – 1

Round 2. Let the GAMES begin!!

Before The Beatles, ada lah a few new bands in U.K. trying hard to play like Rock N Roll Uncle Sam. Thus, The Beatles (Oh ye… forgot to mention! I just love the hairstyle… heheheh!!!) put an end to it and taught then the real British Style. As a result, the world was then infected by an epidemic, which was called Beatlemania Syndrome in the middle of the 1960’s. If y’all are wondering how bad the consequences were, go and ask your mom or auntie about it. Kes kejar-mengejar sambil menjerit sakan lah!!! During that time jugak lah, PUNK, MODs & some other histerical movement in U.K. tuned their own tune. They were preparing to join da club! After la commandant (The Beatles laa!!) paved the way, Rolling Stones came rollin’ to the U.S. music industry. Compared to The Beatles clean image (siap dengan kot beb!), the Rolling Stones punya image was a bit rough with long hair & tight jeans (ouch!!! My balls!!!)

Round 2: U.K. – 1 U.S. – 1

Round 3. Non-stop attack and counter strike from da U.S.

After The Rolling Stones, muncullah a lot of elite unit such as The Who (bringing the message of MODs). Hmm…. Victory seems to fall into U.K.’s hand! It was until Bob Dylan came out wif his weapon of mass destruction. He called it “FOLK ROCK”. This was the Vietnam War time and it was during this time when vote people (dia macam the rate of orang-orang Amerca against their bloody-damned-government for interfering in Vietnam) mounted. Alah… diorang dari dulu mmg macam tu! Sampailah sekarang!!! Dylan’s and his storm troopers’ lyrics led to an inspiration based on kejadian ni. It was quite a big hit on the Britton’s. After they realized this, the Britton changed their strategy. Led by The Beatles, they went to a more humane and moral lyrics to keep up to the heat. As a resut, they managed to top no. 1. They are in the lead but the bigger question now is how long can they restrain the counter-attack from the American?

Round 4. “The Rock Star Syndrome” and Jamaica - Si Kaki Penyibuk

The Beatles split up, John Lennon’s death, Jimi Hendrix’s grand appearance and gangguan menggegarkan dunia yang tela dibuat oleh manusia bernama Robert Nesta Marley has changed the scenarios. Why??? Alah… we all know him as Bob Marley (No Women No Cry… No Women No Cry…). Under the lead of Bob Dylan recruited tons of army besides “Panglima Perang Handal” Jimi Hendrix. U.K. bands yang kononnya cemerlang, gemilang dan terbilang tu had been infected by “The Rock Star Syndrome” macam yang digelar oleh Lester Bangs, a rocking Rock critics that time. Many bands began to split up sebab tidah sehaluan and this pave the way for those American Bands to launch their attack on the British music industry. Dengan munculnya Woodstock and Metallica, America kira cam balas dendam betul² lah…..

Round 5 – Kemaraan Hip-Hop U.S. & Brit-Pop’s new strategy…

U.S. Boy bands started to conquer the music industry. It was pioneered by the NKOTB (New Kids on the Block) and pastu, the list goes on…. BSB la… N’Sync laa…. Etc… Kurt Cobain led Nirvana (Smells like teen spirit, Come as you are, You know you’re right are my all time favorite) and the first division Grunge from the heavy mortar and artillery The Seattle Sound . British countered their attack by using the Spice Girls (Mel B, Mel C, Sporty, Posh and Geri). Sorry la.. they didn’t really live up to their name. The spice fever did not last long enough. Brit-pop division that was led by Oasis & Blur took over the throne of the Gurrrl Power…. Tapi telah disekat oleh kemaraan bebudak Nu-Skool. Bebudak Nu-Skool ni was started by Korn and sekarang, it is taken over by Linkin Park (also my fave band). Sekarang plak, Band² Hip-Hop ngan R & B mula take charge…Looks like America is winning. However, when the battle seemed to be forgotten, dalam diam-diam, strengthen their influence by introducing ColdPlay (wuuhuu… vocalist dia kahwin ngan Gwyneth Paltrow wooo!!!). Who knows… in time to come, Brit-pop akan bangkit secara senyap… hmmm…: )

The Chronicles of Narnia

Time : 3.05 pm
Day/Date : Saturday / 17th December 2005.

Just got out of the cinema. Me and 2 of my close friends were watching The Chronicles of Nania. Actually, this is the second time I am watching the movie. I've already watched it a few days back with my friend. However, today, dah promise with my colleagues to go and watch it.

Furthermore, my friend, Sanjiv from India is tagging along. Wouldn't want to dissapoint him. So, just pretended that I never watched the movies yet lah.

Earlier hand lunch at Chilli's Grill and Bar... Yummy!!! Muh favourite hangout place!!!Why? I like the place coz the food is nice and you can smoke your cigeratto inside! Had Chicken Fried Chicken & Manggo Juice!!! Filling... It's a good thing we got the tickets earlier coz the queue was like... wheewww!!! damn long man...

Anyway, I spilled the beans only after we came out of the cinema. My friend was telling me, no wonder I knew the lines before it was even spoken. hmmm... Gonna comment about Narnia on a later post.. Till then... tata!!!

The Autumn Wind - Lewis Mackenzie

I got this poem from a book I was reading ( The Little Girl at the Window by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi). It is quite an old book which I can't even remember where i got it from. First printed in to 80's, I think. But what the heck, I love to read!! So, started reading it.

It is actually a simple book. But the meaning that lays in the story brings me deep into the meaning of being a children. The beautiful experience of being a kid. How school was during that time. How school should be. You know! Things like playing in the rain, marbles, mandi sungai, main tenteng and lots more thing that we can't imagine doing.

The background was set during the World War II in a small suburb village in Japan. About a cheeky young girl who often wonders what the world is like. It thaught how school over there was different from the conventional school anywhere else in Japan. The adventures that she embark in during her school days. Lots more!!!

It might seem like a children book but for me, as I said, it goes deep inside. Good for parents who wishes to understand the behaviour of kids.

Grammar Lesson!!!

FUCK

Children! Today, we are going to learn about grammar. The word today is “FUCK”. Perhaps one of the most interesting and colourful words in English language words in the English language today is the word “FUCK”. It is one magical word, which, just by its sound, can describes pain, pleasure, love and hate.

In language “ FUCK” falls into many grammatical categories. It can be used as a verb, both transitive (John fucked Mary) and transitive passive verb (Mary really doesn’t give a fuck); or an adverb (Mary is fucking interested in John); and as a noun (Mary is a terrible fuck).

It can also be used as an adjective (Mary is fucking beautiful). As you can see, there are very few words with the versatility of “FUCK”.

Besides its sexual connotations, this incredible word can be used to describe many situations.

1. Greetings: “How the fuck are you?”
2. Fraud: “I got fucked by the car dealers”
3. Dismay: “Oh, fuck it”
4. Trouble: “Well, I guess I’m fucked now.”
5. Aggression: “Fuck you”
6. Disgust: “Fuck me”
7. Confusion: “What the fuck--?”
8. Difficulty: “I don’t understand this fucking business”
9. Despair: “Fucked again”
10. Incompetence: “He fucked up everything”
11. Displeasure: “What the fuck is going on here?”
12. Lost: “Where the fuck are we?”
13. Disbelief: “Unfuckingbelievable!”
14. Retaliation: “Up your fucking ass!”

A further extension to the usage of the word “FUCK” can be seen below:

1. It can be used in an anatomical description: “He’s a fucking asshole”
2. It can be use to tell time: “It’s five fucking thirty”
3. It can be used in business: “How did I wind up with this fucking job?”
4. It can be maternal: as in “ Motherfucker”
5. It can be political: “Fuck Bush”

That’s our lesson for today, children… Your assignment today is to do an essay on “How do you wanna use “FUCK” in your daily life?
