This is one heck of a great movie. The major makeover and face-lift of James Bond doesn’t just involve the Bond himself but also a revamp of the entire franchise. It attempts to stay close to the heart and soul of the original Ian Fleming novels. This movie and, more grounded but yet still realistic.

I've said it last time that Daniel Craig brings the new meaning of the name James Bond, and I am still sticking with that. Daniel Craig DOES bring the new meaning. He’s no Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, George Lazenby or Pierce Brosnan. In fact, I think that he’s nothing close to any of them. Yes, he might not be as romantic, as smooth as the previous James Bond but he has this charisma. This aura, if some of you might call it. He’s relentless, rough, serious but still smooth and slick. He still has the license to kill but this time, it’s just that he is missing a few hi-tech and savvy gadgets. Rest assured dear Bond fans, it is still as good as last time. No worries about Sean Connery’s Bond legacy, it is still there and untouchable. Luckily, watching Casino Royale is not like watching a typical James Bond movie but it’s like watching an action-packed movie. In fact, it’s like watching Xander Cage in xXX only less biceps and triceps. (Is that too much?). At times, it slipped my mind that I was watching a James Bond movie. The action flick knows no end! It’s so typical that the scene had to start in Africa. (Spoiler!) But this time, chasing the suspect bomb-maker adding up with the action sequence that is perfectly choreographed. Makes it flawless! I remembered the American Gladiator, an obstacle course game on TV last time. Just as similar.

Bond still loves gorgeous women. Gorgeous MARRIED women (Same as moi!) This time, Bond girl is Eva Green as Vesper Lynd, the $10 million cash supplier for Bond in a high-stake poker game that will be attended by Le Chiffre. One thing's for sure now, Eva Green is hot but Judi Dench is hotter than her! Any time! Yeah! Call me pervert but I have this thing for older women. She got this ass kicking punch line, she gets to order Bond to go here and there and she’s the head of MI6. She doesn't need that low cut dress but she still look sexy. And that short hair makes her more appealing. She's one heck of a lady, man. (Not a pervert, am I?) Unfortunately, no sexual intercourse scene because it has been cut off (Damn it!) but this time, it’s not important anymore. I am more glued to the movie instead of that scene.

Le Chiffre will be known as a villain not just because he shed blood from his eyes but with that cold look. But this villain isn’t the type of villain who blatantly wants to conquer or take over the world and he doesn’t have those evil schemes to dominate the world, he only wants to cash in on the stock market following terrorist calamities. It comprises an element of terrorism, stock market and the effect of those 2 towards the world’s global economy. Sadly, he died scratching Bond’s ball.

The location of this movie is something that I like. Seriously, there are other Bond movies with much more luxurious and expensive setting but Prague, Bahamas, Lake Como and Venice just blew myself away. I personally feel that it’s one of the assets of the movie. It was in Venice when they shot what I considered the most ballistic heroism act by Bond. He literally brings a building down is a rip-roaring action highlight.

The soundtrack “You Know My Name” from Chris Cornell is fuckingly great. Mind the profanity but it’s true. In Fact, I hardly hear the typical track that will be played right before Bond gets into trouble or in action.

Finally, it’s fun to see how Bond emerges from a serious, cold-blooded agent to a softy and then back to the sadist brat after Vesper Lynd was killed. (Well, serves her right!). It’s funny that the last scene when Mr. White was murder was the time when he recited his infamous lines…”The name’s Bond, James Bond.”

Casino Royale was the first movie that introduced James Bond worldwide. And their aim to revamp the whole franchise seems to work, well, for me it does. Frankly speaking, I am pleased with the product, Daniel Craig as Bond and the whole movie all together. Reluctant and hesitant at first, but now, I rest assured that Bond is safe in the hands of Daniel Craig. Even without those gadgets, this movie is worthy to watch.

I was surfing the net and I stumbed upon a shocking news. Even more shocking than the murder of Altantuya Shaaribu. For real man! Hahahaha... Just kidding. For those Lord of the Ring fans out there, if you are hoping that Peter Jackson is returning to direct "The Hobbit" will be dissappointed because New Line Cinema is not hiring him as the director for the movie. Rumours has it (I read this somewhere) that New Line Cinema will also produce still unnamed prequel of the Lord of the Rings.

This is because of the lawsuit between New Line Cinema and Jackson's production company Wingnut Films over the income is still going on and are yet to be settled. Until then, they are still going to proceed with the production of "The Hobbit" and this director of King Kong won't be joining the team.

Ghee! How will it be without the ingenious director? Look at the trilogy which made huge success around the world and swapping a number of Oscars at the 2004 Academy Awards? I can't imagine Middle Earth at the hands someone else besides this guy. Shit man!

Sinopsis : Movie ni pasal Jenna Rink is an egoistical and arrogant 13 year old tween yang susah nak dibuat kawan walaupun dia ada sorang kawan baik budak lelaki bernama Matt. She has troubles growing up because she doesn’t seem to be too apparent among the cute guys at school sedangkan she tries very hard to attract their attention.
Dia jugak tak dipedulikkan oleh bebudak perempuan kat sekolah dia. Malah, dia telah dipergunakan oleh kawan sekolah dia yang berlakon baik dgn dia semata-mata untuk menghabiskan kerja sekolah dan meniru semua kerja rumah aje. Jenna goes through all this just put herself in the same crowd as Lucy when all she does in the end was played a trick on her and humiliated her in front of everybody. (Aku rasa macam dah terlampau biasa for these genre of movies)

Si Matt ni yang kesiankan si Jenna ni berlagak macam saving a damsel in distress telah menghadiahkan a doll house yang dibuat sendiri and a magic wishing sparkles untuk menenangkan hati kawan baiknya tu. That night, disebabkan kegeraman, Jenna made a wish that she is older and when she wakes up that morning, her wishes came true. She wakes up finding that she is already 30 years old, beautiful, gorgeous and successful as a fashion editor called Poise. She owns a Fifth Avenue apartment and a hunk boyfriend. Almost anything that a girl could dream for.

But little did she know that at this time, Matt is no longer her best friend as they “separated” years back. It’s simply because of Jenna’s addiction to be popular that put herself where she is right now. Sampai dia boleh dump her best friend. Matt is now engaged and soon to be married. And Jenna doesn’t even know any of this.

She was also the person responsible to telling the secrets about Poise’s monthly and giving fresh new ideas to their close competitors, Sparkle. But she didn’t realize any of this. Lucy, badmouthed behind Jenna’s back and suspected that she is the one responsible lurking out the secrets. After that, Jenna went back to her hometown to be reunited with her parents and soon discovered something inspiring that will put Poise back on track.

Matt, being a photographer, helped Jenna out in re-planning to revamp the face of Poise. The shoot was successful and hopes that mount were destroyed when they got to know that the presentation was on its way to Sparkle’s editorial table. Jenna found out that she was the one who sabotage Poise from the inside by sending the materials to Sparkle. Lucy, being Lucy, was the one responsible to influence Matt into handling the presentation to Sparkle, becoming the new chief editor for Sparkle.

Will Jenna be able to save the situation? Will Matt ever fell in love all over again with Jenna? What will become of Poise and is it all that good for Lucy? Itu korang kena tengok sendiri lah movie ni. Banyak sangat spoiler yang aku dah bagi.

Aku Kata : Bagi aku, movie ni macam a modern fairy tales yang tak lari dari the typical type of tween movie. The same like Lizzie Maguire Movie. Both are tween movie. The only thing is that 13 Going On 30 ni takde lah focus sangat on the life of a tween but its more about the lesson about life and growing up. Ain’t that easy as it seems. Believe me… it’s not all huu huu haa haa!

Jennifer Garner is charming, I admit, the dimple on her face. But she as Jenna is effortless. Not effortless in the sense that she does it with a flaw but it seems EFFORT – LESS. Well, her attempt was good and the product was just…. Okay, I guess. This is no heave drama, which might require a little more effort from Garner. Genre movie ni light sahaja. Mungkin, dia perlu menunjukkan ekspressi muka, lebih bermain dengan ruang (teringat pulak kat Adlin!). Not her best performance (She’s better in Elektra, I guess) but as I said, it was okay.

Ikut pemerhatian aku, ada sikit elemen The Devil Wears Prada dalam movie ni. Yelah, Jenna is the editor for Poise Magazine, sama macam Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep. Both are demanding giler babas and the only difference is that Jenna in 13 Going On 30 ni dah sell herself off to another magazine.Filem ni jugak ada sikit elemen Mean Girls pada awalnya. You know, the popular bitchy clique of girls who bullies and fooled with the not-so-popular type of people.

Babak yang paling best dalam movie ni masa diorang menari lagu hit Raja Pop Michael Jackson, Thriller! That was the best scene in the movie.Yang lain-lain, I don’t think so.

All in all, I find this movie okay but a wee bit boring. Lagipun, ada jugak filem lain yang lebih kurang sama macam this movie (the personality change cum body switch). Contohnya macam Freaky Friday and Just My Luck (sekadar menyebut beberapa aje)

Aggh!! Ape aku merepek daaa?? Actually, ni antara filem Melayu yang memang aku tunggu-tunggu besides Susuk, Dukun and some other movie. Ada ramai star-star yang sejuk-sejuk (kewl-kewl) dan gegak gemilang dalam filem ni. Itu lah intipati filem Cinta.

Sinopsis : This modern version of Shakespeare's ``The Taming of the Shrew ni pasal 2 adik beradik yang worlds apart, contradict antara satu dengan yang lain. Katarina Stratford @ Kat is more rebellious, daring and prickly but the class brain. Bianca Stratford ni pulak jenis yang popular and cantik kat sekolah. Disebabkan sikap si Kat ni, dia ni dah jadi macam outcast dan ditakuti in the school sedangkan adik dia cukup famous and digilai jantan-jantan kat sekolah tu.

Bapak dia ni pulak, memang tipikal bapak lah. Jenis yang sama macam 8 Simple Rules(For Dating My Teenage Daughter). Tak bagik anak dara dia sesuka hati nak date or go out Bapak dia buat rule yang membuatkan si Bianca bertambah angin dengan kakak dia. Bapak dia forbid Bianca to date any guy or have a boyfriend melainkan kaka dia ni ada boyfriend terlebih dahulu.

Sorang budak yang baru join sekolah tu, Cameron James (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), ada hati dengan si Bianca ni. But Bianca has been longing to go out on a date with Joey Donner (Andrew Keegan). Mamat pulak the nerdy type of guy. But not nerds macam Revenge of the Nerds. Mamat ni berpakat dengan Bianca untuk mematch-make-kan kakak dia dan dia pun decided to match make Kat with another school’s legend, this outlaw of the school. Someone who is known for a sullen criminal reputation yang diorang fikir can live up to Kat’s standard. Someone by the name of Partick Verona.

And when Patrick doesn’t really seems to be interested, diorang yakinkan si Joey suruh upah Patrick to take Kat out so that Joey can date Bianca. So, bermulalah advanture si Patrick who tries to woo Kat and bumped into troubles along the way?

Does Bianca get her man? Does Cameron get his woman? Does Kat let her guard down long enough to see that Patrick has something to offer? And how did Kat react when she knows that she is the victim of a scheme by her own sisters? Does Patrick’s ego goes down when he finds that he is really in love with Kat.? Itu korang kena lah tengok movie ni sebab kalau bagi spoiler lelebih kang, tak besh pulak kan?

Aku kata : Movie ni interesting tu interesting lah, and charming tu memang charming lah. It’s a teen romantic comedy movie. Well, for me it is. It has all the elements. Maybe this is the typical type of teen romantic comedy type of movie. There’s this awek yang hot, balak yang macho, budak nerd yang minat dengan this babe, this rebellious guy or babe, and lastly, ada prom night where they lived happily ever after. Aku pelik betul lah! Kalau cerita teens macam ni, mesti ada selitkan scene prom night, tak kisah lah waktu awal cerita ke, tengah tengah cerita ke, ataupun akhir cerita. Kalau takde, tak sah, macam cerita Never Been Kissed or She’s All That.

Apa-apa pun, highshcool romance memang something yang very popular sampai kadang-kadang tu diorang gunakan the same storyline aje yang cuma watak aje yg lain. Kita kat belah timur pun tak ketinggalan jugak nak ikut trend ni. Sekarang kan banyak movie yang menjurus pada teenage romance macam Diari Romeo (Sampah!), Sama Tak Serupa (Entah apa apa entah), Gemerlapan (Hampeh!), Gol & Gincu dan yang terbaru is Goodbye Boys (Belum tengok lagi pun!). Indon dah lagi dulu ikut dah. Tak payah aku sebut nama movie apa pun korang dah boleh agak dah pun kan?

At that time, aku suka dengan movie ni sebab Julia Stiles sahaja. Muka dia ni sesuai bawak watak perempuan chocky. Aku suka dengan lakonan dia Save the Last dance and Mona Lisa Smile. Dia ada credibility to be a great actress. That gay cowboy cum Academy Award Nominee takde lah sangat pun. Masa ni pun dia takde lah famous sangat macam sekarang ni. Tapi aku suka dengan watak dia yang rebellious tu.

All in all, I find this movie fun, it doesn’t have any heavy message, storyline is simple and sesuai untuk yang muda-muda macam aku and perasan muda macam Ironboard.

Cuma satu perkara aku, I don't know whether I am wrong or right, tapi selalunya, lagu M Nasir utk perempuan ni kurang sedap sikit berbanding lagu utk lelaki. Warkah Buat Laila, lagu OST dari filem Qaisy & Laila memang lagu yang menarik. Lirik yang hebat dari Habsah Hassan. Vokal Zahid kena dengan lagu ni. Personally, aku rasa Zahid lagi sesuai dengan genre lagu-lagu macam ni.

Kata Aku : Mungkin Bahagia memang lagu yang sedap Melodi dia pun sedap didengar. Terlalu Istimewa selayaknya masuk ke akhir sebab dah tiba masa Adibah Noor dapat the right kind of recognition for her contribution. Lagu ni pun tak perlu melalak sampai mic ke dahi sebab suara Adibah Noor dah sedap. Ku Seru? I am not hoping that it will repeat the success of Pulangkan tapi who knows right? Aku kata : Juwita Citra Terindah aku pilih sebab itu lagu fave aku dalam kategori ni. Catchty melody and it's more easy listening. LJLC? I am being realistic. Selalunya, lagu Sifu M Nasir jarang gagal di peringkat separuh akhir. In fact, dah terbukti yang M Nasir selalu mengungguli AJL kalau beliau dicalonkan. Diari Seorang Lelaki and Caramu falls to no. 3 and 4 sebab DSL, for me, is also an easy going song. Bukan something yang pelik from Pretty Ugly macam CD Bagasi Honey or Encik Ronald Moore. Caramu is a fast catchy number. Aku suka lagu ni.

Filem yang penuh dengan star studded cast yang aku memang respek habis and ia pulak ditangani oleh pengarah yang cukup hebat. Ni adalah sebab kenapa aku terasa berkenan nak tengok movie ni. It’s all because of the director. To add it up, Umie Aida adalah pemegang watak utama dalam movie ni.

Nak kata aku punya expectation very high, is YES and NO kot. YES sebab ni filem Eirma Fatima (This is how it was spelt in the end-credit) and NO simply because filem ni filem lawak. Lawak yang sinis pada sesiapa yang kena tempias dari filem ni.

Sebagai penonton, aku memang suka dengan hasil kerja Eirma Fatima. Wanita Melayu Terakhir was provocative enough. Embun was outstanding from my point of view. Aku teringat pulak scene masa Vanidah Imran dok feeling horny atas katil tu. Hahahah… erotic scene yang dipresentkan in a quite subtle manner.

Tapi sayang, all those expectation went to the drain. Sorry la if it sounded harsh sebab ni adalah antara filem melayu terburuk yang aku pernah tengok. What a rip-off from the RM 9.00 bucks that I paid at Golden Screen Cinemas (or was it Tanjung Golden Village? Aku tak ingat lah) kat Mahkota Parade tu. Kalau dulu aku ingatkan filem Aku No. 1 tu over the edge, well this movie is no less better. Aku pun pelik macam mana Eirma Fatima boleh direct this kind of movie and macam ni jadi hasilnya.

Nak kata lawak, takde lah aku gelak sangat macam aku tengok Gubra (yes! Aku minat Yasmin Ahmad. So, sue me!). Lawak Gubra lebih selamba dari Lawak DV ni. Furthermore, kalau ikut penilaian aku, filem ni memang berjaya meng-over-kan semua pelakon-pelakon dia. Nak aku kata filem ni filem sampah, maybe it’s way out of line lah. Mungkin sikit melampau lah kan. Tapi kalau aku letakkan skala filem on the scale of it’s purpose, memang filem ni berjaya sampaikan message of how ugly the entertainment scene can get.

Sikit sinopsis dia : It’s all about the Malaysian Entertainment scene. This film is the naked truth about the industry. The ugly side of it, that is. How Erna works hard to maintain her popularity yang makin lama makin tenggelam. Pengurus Erna, Jojo (Afdlin Shauki) and pengurus Tasya, Rin (Sheila) masing-masing sanggup buat apa aje semata-mata nak meletakkan artis belaan diorang tu berjaya, glamour dan famous.

Intipati filem Diva Popular ni adalah pasal kisah main tikam belakang, kisah dok mengipas wartawan-wartawan yang gilakan scoop untuk the latest news, kisah taktik kotor artis hentam artis, kisah artis yang gila glamour sampai sanggup cocok sana sini, kisah artis dengan sugar daddy. Macam-macam lagi lah.

Banyak sindiran dalam filem ni. Sindiran yang dibuat based on things that happened dalam industri hiburan Malaysia. Betul ke tidak, itu tuan punya badan yang tau lah. Apa-apa pun, antara sindiran dalam movie ni is (1) Azean Irdawaty’s potrayal of Julie Dahlan yang memang look stupid if she speaks in English, (2) Kes-kes artis main bomoh lah, makan telur dalam toilet sebelum show lah, (3) Artis-artis yang gilakan artificial beauty dengan menyuntik botox or vitamin C semata-mata membuahkan hasil macam muka kena sengat dengan lebah. Alah, banyak sangat lah nak disebut. But you get the picture lah!

Wahh… Nampak macam buruk sangat jalan cerita dia kan. It’s not all bad in this movie.Yang bestnya, filem ni banyak cameo dari Datuk Sharifah Aini, Saiful Apek, Azwan Ali, Nas Ahmad (Terjah!!! Melodi), Anita Sarawak and a few others. Does it really help? Tak jugak.

An award material, definitely NO. But this film is making much more money than Bilut. Very ironic but it’s the truth. Kita suka dihidangkan dengan filem-filem macam ni. Apa-apa pun, aku rasa Ezlyn makes a good actress. Maybe in the future, if she’s given a better character, she might just make it as an actress.

Ini alah entry membuang masa sebab aku tengah boring giler time ni!

Macam mana lah kita nak percayakan mainstream media kat Malaysia ni? Sedangkan lirik lagu semudah tu pun diorang boleh buat mistake! Ini kan pulak berita yang melibatkan politik dan perkembangan ekonomi negara. Media patutnya menyampaikan informasi yang tepat dan jitu untuk pembaca-pembaca diorang. Ni sudah dikira nak divert the readers nieh. Ish! Ish! Ish! Tak patut! Tak patut!

Eh... what the heck am I saying, melalut sampai ke situ pulak. Macam ni, I was reading the news paper yesterday, and I was reading Bi-Pop. While browsing through it, I noticed something wrong with the lyrics for Ning, Nikki & Yanie's song, Drama. Isk, mana punya resource diorang sudah dapat ye?

Satu lagi benda yang aku perasan is the advertisement yang melibatkan Azwan Ali kat Channel Ria kat Astro tu. Mula-mula tu aku terperasan yang ada something yg salah yang Azwan Ali cakap masa dia buat pengambaran Cit Cat tu. Lepas 2, 3 kali tengok, baru aku terperasan yang dia tersalah sebut tahun Hijrah. It is suppose to be 1.4.2.7. Hijrah where as yang Azwan sebut is 1.4.2.6 Hijrah. Hmm...

Tak tau lah kalau telinga aku ni belum di korek ke apa, tapi ikut pendengaran aku memang salah.

Aku nak post something out of the norm. Selalu aku post pasal entertainment aje. But aku nak share something dengan all of you. Aku dapat email ni from one of my friend. Just to explain how the situation is right now for me.

Every company faces the problem of people leaving the company for better pay or profile.

Early this year, Mark, a senior software designer, got an offer from a prestigious international firm to work in its India operations developing specialized software. He was thrilled by the offer.

He had heard a lot about the CEO. The salary was great. The company had all the right systems in place employee-friendly human resources (HR) policies, a spanking new office,and the very best technology,even a canteen that served superb food.

Twice Mark was sent abroad for training. "My learning curve is the sharpest it's ever been," he said soon after he joined.

Last week, less than eight months after he joined, Mark walked out of the job.

Why did this talented employee leave ?

Arun quit for the same reason that drives many good people away.

The answer lies in one of the largest studies undertaken by the Gallup Organization. The study surveyed over a million employees and 80,000 managers and was published in a book called "First Break All The Rules". It came up with this surprising finding:

If you're losing good people, look to their immediate boss.Immediate boss is the reason people stay and thrive in an organization. And he 's the reason why people leave. When people leave they take knowledge,experience and contacts with them, straight to the competition.

"People leave managers not companies," write the authors Marcus Buckingham and Curt Coffman.

Mostly manager drives people away?

HR experts say that of all the abuses, employees find humiliation the most intolerable. The first time, an employee may not leave,but a thought has been planted. The second time, that thought gets strengthened. The third time, he looks for another job.

When people cannot retort openly in anger, they do so by passive aggression. By digging their heels in and slowing down. By doing only what they are told to do and no more. By omitting to give the boss crucial information. Dev says: "If you work for a jerk, you basically want to get him into trouble. You don 't have your heart and soul in the job."

Different managers can stress out employees in different ways - by being too controlling, too suspicious,too pushy, too critical, but they forget that workers are not fixed assets, they are free agents. When this goes on too long, an employee will quit - often over a trivial issue.

Talented men leave. Dead wood doesn't.

"Jack Welch of GE once said. A company's value lies "between the ears of its employees".

Ni lah yang aku alami sekarang ni. My boss tu is a headache herself and she is spreading it all aroung. Me and my team are finding hard times dealing with her. Her favourite tagline "Ohh... ya ka....!"

Aku always percaya yang staffs shoudl be treated as a commodity. Kalau ko layan staff tu baik, memang akan jadi profit lah. Kalau tidak, memang akan jadi liability aje. Mungkin boss aku ni tak faham konsep Theory X and Theory Y yang didevelopkan oleh Douglas McGregor during the World War 2 kot.

I am actually in a dilemma. But not that kind of a big problem. Bukannya Dilema Melayu macam yang Mantan PM kita cakap dan bukan jugak kemelut yang tengah melanta Tun Dr M and Pak Lah sekarang. Dilema sendiri aje.

1. Takbir raya :Entah kenapa lah tiap kali mendengar takbir raya ni, hati aku rasa sayup and sedih semacam aje. Especially pada malam-malam raya, sambil tengah dok mengemas rumah dan buat final preparation for raya. Lagik la meruntun jiwa aku ni.

2. Melawat kubur arwah nenek aku :Kalau melawat kubur hari-hari biasa ni, tak berapa terasa sangat. Tapi kalau time-time raya ni, it’s a different feeling all together. Lagipun, aku ni duduk Melaka tapi kampung aku kat Melaka. Kira macam this is the best time for me to do so pun. Yang aku boleh buat pun sedekah kan Al-Fatihah and berdoa untuk kesejahteraan arwah nenek aku kat the other side tu. Sedih sebab arwah nenek aku yang membesarkan aku.

3. Ahli keluarga berkumpul : Again, it’s hard to find time for all family members to gather at the same time. Yelah, ada yang duduk Johor, ada yang kat Kl. Dalam family, bergaduh kecik tu biasa lah. It’s what makes the family grow. Tapi all differences are set aside bila tiba hari raya ni.

4. Lagu Raya : Hari Raya ni macam kurang meriah kalau tak ada lagu raya. Nak kata kosong tu tak jugak, tapi it adds up the joy of Hari Raya. Aku ada post lagu raya feberet aku in my previous post.

5. Drama Raya : Banyak drama raya yang menyentuh perasaan pada tahun ni. Eventhoug ada yang ulangan dari tahun lepas macam Gitar Tua, but it is still nice to see that kind of drama. Tapi aku perasan tahun ni macam banyak drama Ellie Suriaty kat TV. Aku memang tabik spring kat lakonan dia.

6. Anak-Anak Yatim :Raya tu raya jugak, jangan lupa pada yang tak bernasib baik. Sedih kalau menonton TV tu, pasal anak yatim yang tak dapat merasakan kemeriahan penuh berhari raya. Tapi, aku memang tabik spiring and respek habis dengan apa yang Ning buat for the less unfortunates. Kalau nak tau lebih lanjut, sila ke blog Mr Manager or just click HERE. This kind of effort should be done more often. Kan?

7. Mak & Ayah aku : Aku sedih sebab banyak dosa aku dengan orang tua aku. Heck! Memang banyak giler dosa aku dengan org tua aku ni. So, tengok muka orang tua aku, sebak plak rasa. Hahahah… kalau hari-hari biasa, tak sebak pun. Cuma rasa bersalah aje.

8. Rumah arwah nenek aku : Kata orang, tempat jatuh lagikan dikenang, inikan pulak tempat bermain. So, korang faham kan maksud aku tu? Lebih lebih lagi, arwah nenek aku menghembuskan nafasnya yang terakhir kat umah tu. So, that house brings thousand memories for me.

9. Sepupu Aku : Aku memang rapat giler dengan sepupu aku, Aziah ni. Dari kecik lagi sampailah dia kahwin. Aku memang sayang kat dia macam bini aku sendiri. Hahah…. Kitorang membesar sama-sama, so kenangan tu kira banyak lah.

10. Kampung aku : Korang ada kampung? Orang macam Iron Board memang tak tau lah apa feelnya ada kampung sebab dia orang Bandar. Bini dia pun orang bandar. So, kalau ada pun, Kg Baru aje lah tempat makan nasi lemak antarabangsa tu aje. Untuk orang yg ada kampung macam aku ni, you should know how it feels like. Lainlah kalau kat kg tu dah takde sape sape selain dari kubur untuk dilawati. But that is not the reason for you to not balik kampung beb!

p/s : Aku baru terperasan yang entry aku kali ni ada kesamaan dengan entry Mama Zack kat SINI. Zack, sorry ye! memang takde niat tak plagiat hasil kerja kau. Aku memang tak perasan benda ni sebelum ni. Apa-apa pun, kau antara sumber inspirasi aku. Heheheh...

Director : Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters, Junior, Evolution)

Synopsis : This isn’t a movie about superhero with superpower but it’s about a superhero with a super-feeling. Human’s super feelings. Partly, she went around to save people and partly, she works as a curator in a gallery.

Jenny James (Uma Thurman) is like another girl on the street that you can find anywhere. But what sets her apart is that she has a secret identity. She’s G-Girl. A superhero, which falls in love with a mere mortal. But ended up

Matt Saunders (Luke Wilson) is a person with the worst pick-up line. How ironic! But he still managed to go on a dinner date with Jenny. Why? He managed to save the damsel in distress. Well, not really with distress. It might be a damsel with superpower.

If you are thinking that you can see some superpower by G-Girl or some ass-kicking action sequence, then you’re drop dead wrong. This film doesn’t really tell G-Girl but it is more of a compelling drama of how bad a superhero can be when she is in love with a normal mortal and then breaks up with him.

Jenny is over-protective, over-jealous, over-secured about her boyfriend. Maybe she is insecure about having a normal being as a boyfriend. And Matt tried very hard to please her girlfriend, knowing that Jenny is G-Girl.

What Matt didn’t realize is that he is actually in love with his colleague, Hannah (Anna Faris).I guess this is just so typical. You don’t know that you are in love with someone right in front of you until the third persons enter into the picture.

As what they say, it’s pay back time. G-Girl gave Matt a hard time after breaking up. After being jilted by Matt, she keeps stalking him frequently and she gave Matt a bloody hard time. But G-Girl herself is haunted by a villain from her past. Her ex-boyfriend.

There ain’t nothing much to say about this movie. I don’t find the movie very entertaining The storyline is simple. No CGI special effects, no superhero-ass-kicking-with superpower. It’s a light movie. It’s not that flawless but it’s not that brilliant. Nothing special. Uma Thurman is just Uma Thurman, Luke Wilson is just okay. Same goes to the supporting act.

I guess it’s not Ivan Reitman’s best work. I prefer Ghostbusters and Junior compared to this movie.

For that, I give it ** / *****

This movie only proves one thing! Hell hath no fury like a women’s scorn.

Macam yang aku pernah janjikan sebelum ni, aku nak share dengan korang semua about my raya celebration. This is the first part of my Hari Raya Aidilfitri.Saja nak share dengan korang pasal kemeriahan raya Maddox.

[Disclaimer : Need I to remind you that this entry is going to be very very very very long and lengthy]

[PROLOG]

Raya adalah satu kemestian bagi kita rakyat Malaysia. Dah sudah penat berpuasa selama sebulan, Aidilfitri ni masa kita nak sambut kemenangan kita. Itu pun kalau puasa cukup sebulan. Kalau puasa tu pun ada rompong rompongnya, jangan la mimpi nak puasa sebulan.

Bagi aku, selain dari raya ni sekadar a long leave from KL, ni jugak lah masa aku berjumpa dengan sanak saudara aku yang aku jumpa cuma setahun sekali aje. Jadi, ni adalah masa yang terbaik untuk berlibur, berhibur & yang penting, Relax & Enjoy.

Melaka adalah destinasi wajib aku tiap tiap tahun. Kat Melaka tu family belah mak aku. Memang tiap-tiap tahun aku sure balik Melaka punya. Belah ayah aku? Entah! Ada sejarah hitam rasanya. Family rivalry!

[INTRO]

Aku dengan adik-adik aku decide nak balik kampung sehari sebelum raya, which is Monday. So, pagi Isnin tu kitorang dah siap-siap semua baju dalam beg. Semua dah berkobar-kobar nak balik Melaka ni. Rindu giler dengan kampung halaman.

The joy of going back masa raya ni lain sikit kalau nak dibandingkan dengan kalau balik kampung pada hari-hari biasa. Yelah, this is the time of the year where you can see all family members berkumpul. Tak kira mak sedara, ayah saudara, sepupu sepapat, anak-anak buah and mak buah and bapak buah.

Dapat-dapat pula orang macam aku ni yang balik kampung pun setahun sekali aje. Kadang-kadang tu, sepupu aku komplen sebab aku kalau takde raya, takde aku ingat nak balik kampung. Maaf lah, bukan tak nak balik tapi kerja aku kat office tu bertimbun. Mana lah aku nak find time to go back. Tapi insya allah, tahun ni aku dah buat resolusi sendiri. Aku nak balik kampung lebih kerap lagik.

Since arwah nenek aku meniggal on 1993, datuk aku duduk sorang-sorang kat rumah ibu tu aje. He is staying there alone tapi anak cucu ada kat sekeliling rumah. Ada jugak yang boleh tengokkan makan pakai dia.

Me and my 2 twin sisters decided to go back early sebab kitorang telah ditugaskan oleh penyimpan mohor besar raja-raja dan permaisuri untuk mengemas sikit rumah atok aku tu. So, nak tak nak, kena lah jugak melaksanakannya. Dah jadi Urusan Seri Paduka Baginda.Buat aje lah!

My parents and my younger brother balik lewat sikit sebab mak aku had to finish cooking the dishes for Hari Raya. Leceh katanya nak masak kat situ. Dah atok aku tinggal sorang diri, barang barang dalam rumah tu pun bukannya lengkap sgt pun. Baik masak aje dari KL and bawak balik Melaka. Lagi senang.

[CONTENT]

Kitorang sampai sada dalam lebih kurang jam 2. Sampai-sampai aje aku tengok atok aku tengah dok menunggu kat luar. Wah.. macam tau-tau aje yang cucu-cucu kesayangan dia ni nak balik. Hahahahah…

Sayup aje aku tengok muka orang tua tu. Semacam ada kerinduan pulak dalam diri dia tu. Ye lah, menunggu anak cucu dia balik nak menyambul Aidilfitri sama-sama. Atok aku ni very reserved type of person. He minds his own business and dia semacam simpan banyak benda dalam hati dia. I don’t know how he feels after arwah nenek meninggal. Aku teringin jugak nak tanya tapi entah lah. Segan rasanya.

Kalau dulu dah dekat raya , masa arwah nenek was still alive, dia mesti ada kat jalan masuk ke kampung aku. Dia mesti tunggu nak tengok anak-anak cucu dia balik kg. Nampak sangat atok aku tu gembira kalau semuanya balik beraya. Sekarang memang dah tak ada dah since arwah nenek aku meninggal. Furthermore, he is getting older I guess.

Anyway, sampai aje, macam biasa lah, tuju kat atok aku dulu. Chatted for a while and terus masuk dalam rumah. Aku dengan adik-adik aku terus menjalankan Misi Suara Hati. Hahahaah… Doing all the essential things macam tukar langsir, sapu sampah, masak air panas, keluarkan kuih raya, mengemas.

Hati aku rasa sayup and sedih semacam bila ada dalam rumah tu. This was the house which I grew up in. Aku dulu dibesarkan oleh arwah nenek aku sampai aku habis sekolah menengah. Kat rumah ni aku kena rotan dengan arwah nenek aku, kat rumah ni aku duduk makan nasi atas lantai dengan arwah nenek aku and datuk aku. Macam macam lagi lah.

Sigh!

[CLOSING]

Dah siap mengemas, kitorang pun berehat kejap lepas kepenatan. Plan aku adik beradik memang nak berbuka kat luar. So, dalam pukul 5 macam tu, kitorang start kereta and terus menuju ke Jusco kat Air Keroh. Saja jalan-jalan cuci mata and window shopping. Mana la tau kalau ada benda yang berkenan kat mata aku ni.

We wanted to break the fast with McD. So, pergi lah ke McD kat depan Taman Buaya Air Keroh tu. Baru aje sampai, sepupu aku Aziah (aku ada cerita pasal dia dalam previous entry aku) tu ada dengan keluarga mertua dia. What a small world. Aku memang gumbira giler dapat jumpa dia.

Lepas berbuka, aku pun ajak sepupu aku tu balik sekali. Kebetulan dia memang nak balik pun. Lagipun, dah la kereta mertua dia sempit. Dia pulak tengah sarat mengandung masa tu.

[MELODRAMA]

Betapa aku rindu banget dengan kampung aku. Tempat aku membesar, tempat aku kena kejar dengan busu aku. Teringat ketika aku kena kejar dengan busu aku sebab baju sekolah agama aku kotor kena tahi lembu. Tu lah, degil sangat masa kecik-kecik dulu.

[FLASHBACK]

Masa tu aku tengah dok main kejar-kejar dengan kawan-kawan aku masa sekolah agama dulu. Masa tu waktu rehat and dah memang jadi kebiasaan kitorang kalau masa rehat tu tak buat apa-apa but fooling and playing around.

Aku tak berapa sure macam mana benda tu jadi. Tapi yang aku ingat, aku tergelincir masa tengah lari tu and gedebuk! Macam nangka busuk aku jatuh and tepat dekat setompok tahi lembu. Adoi! Busuk giler siot. Habis kena kat seluar dengan baju aku. Aku dah tak kira malu lagi dah masa tu. Yang aku fikir, macam mana nak buat ni? Aku pun apa lagi, pesan kat sepupu aku suruh bawak balik beg, aku pun cabut balik rumah.

Fikir gak macam mana la aku nak hilangkan benda ni. Mesti busu aku mengamuk macam singa lapar kalau dia nampak. Aku pun apa lagik, bukak baju terus rendam dalam baldi. Ingatkan boleh hilang and aku cuci sendiri. Tapi dah terlambat! Busu aku nampak!Apa lagi! Kena perambat keliling kampung aku! Hahaha…. Kelakar pun ada! Sebak pun ada!
That was the best time of my life!

p/s : nama macam Sani, Zainuddin, Khairul, Nizam @ Bear, Azlina, Mala, Aziah, Yati memang aku tak boleh nak lupakan. Diorang geng-geng aku masa aku sekolah dulu. Sekarang, ada jugak aku bumped into them tapi masing-masing dah tua bangka, so jumpa pun setakat salam dengan senyum aje.
